High Point, N.C.> Erskine College’s Jack Kimber has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men’s soccer Player of the Week during week number four in the 2010 season. Kimber, from Manchester, England led the Flying Fleet to a 3-0 record for the week scoring two goals and assisting on another one. In each of the games, the junior center- midfielder controlled the flow of the game setting up each Erskine score. Against Barton College, Kimber scored on a penalty kick after he was taken down in the box in a 3-0 win. On Saturday against St. Andrews Presbyterian College, he scored an assist on a corner kick to teammate Matt Sluga. Kimber later added an insurance goal blasting the ball past the diving goalkeeper for the 2-0 league victory. The Flying Fleet now stand at 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in Conference Carolinas.
