Erskine College Athletics

High Point, N.C.>Erskine College’s Sandra Campbell has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women’s volleyball Player of the Week during week number ten in the 2010 season. Erskine’s Sandra Campbell (Pilot Point, TX, USC-Upstate) continued her stellar play from the middle hitter position this week.  In a midweek matchup against conference foe Limestone College, the junior blasted a game-high 15 kills on a team-high .355 hitting percentage.  The victory secured the No. 2 seed for Erskine in this week’s conference championship tournament.  In the final regular season game, Campbell again led the Fleet with a game-high ten kills on a .381 hitting percentage in a straight set sweep of Coker College.  This is Erskine's first conference volleyball player of the week award since restarting the program two years.  Erskine will host Limestone College this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament. The Fleet improved to 18-10 overall and 14-4 in the conference.
