High Point, N.C.> Erskine College’s Roberto De La Vina has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men’s soccer Player of the Week during week number eight in the 2010 season. Erskine's Goalkeeper Roberto De La Vina recorded two shutouts on the road, including a 2-0 upset of league second-place Limestone College Wednesday afternoon.  In both games, the Flying Fleet were outshot by their opponents (35-21).  Against Limestone, the No. 2 scoring offense in the nation, the freshman goalkeeper faced 22 shots earning five saves.  On Saturday against Coker, De La Vina had five saves against 13 shots to earn his second shutout on the week.  The two victories move the Fleet to within two points of hosting a first round game in next week's conference tournament.  The Fleet are currently 8-7 overall and 5-2 in conference.
