Due West, S.C. – Head Women's Tennis Coach Calhoun Parr is pleased to announce the signing of Rachel Berkey from Myrtle Beach to play tennis for the Flying Fleet next year.

A four-year letter winner and team captain, Berkey led her Myrtle Beach High School team to the AAA State Championship last year and runner-up the year prior to that. Last season Berkey went 20-1 in singles and 12-0 doubles in earning her fourth consecutive 1^st Team All-Region honors and an invitation to the North/South All-Star Tennis Classic.  In 2013 she was the Region Player of the Year.
