In just four years, Coach Heather Vahjen has built the Flying Fleet into conference-contending team.  Over that time-span, the Flying Fleet have amassed an overall record of 68-58 and a conference record of 59-20.  Erskine has never had a losing record in the conference.  Last season, she directed the Flying Fleet to a regular season Division Championship, the first ever in school history.  Her team included seven members who attained Academic All-Conference status as well as three All-Conference players.
In her first season, she directed the young Fleet team to a record of 13-19, finishing 6th in the 12 team Conference Carolinas and earned a berth to the Conference Tournament.  She also had two players garner All-Conference recognition.   Three years ago the Flying Fleet finished with an impressive 20-11 overall record and second in the conference at 14-4.  The Fleet also earned their first ever NCAA regional ranking.  Erskine had six players earn all-conference recognition and Coach Vahjen earned her first Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year Award.  And just two years ago, Coach Vahjen had her first player, Sandra Campbell, earn Conference Player of the Year honors in addition to three all players being named all-conference.
